Her Story

My name is Kerensa Daniela Gulliver, and from a young age, I always found myself giving others advice, whether single or married. I never understood it, but I was always keen to help others and enjoyed putting a smile on their face. In the country in which I grew up, there was and still is a high rate of domestic violence and abuse, and in some cases, many women died at the hands of their abuser. At the age of 12 years old, I had a friend whose father had beaten her mother so badly that I said I hated abuse without understanding it. Well, guess what? The very thing had happened to me. I spent over a decade in an abusive marriage and questioned how I got there.

What I didn’t realize is that abuse has a background of spiritual warfare, and in some cases, people get themselves into the wrong relationships because of a lack of knowledge. In addition, when you are a broken person, meaning you went through child abuse, sexual abuse, mental abuse, being oppressed, rejected, etc., and haven’t healed from that skeleton and drama, it will come back up to haunt you in your older years.
